VIA is planning to purchase 16 Stylized-compressed natural gas (CNG) Bus Rapid Transit vehicles for the launch of service on Fredericksburg Road.

The Primo vehicles will use a CNG propulsion system. Using this type of power will save on fuel costs and contribute to a cleaner environment by reducing emissions.

VIA’s Primo vehicles will have a specialized paint scheme and interior design to give this premium service a very distinctive and attractive look.

Of course the vehicles will be fully tested and meet all Federally Mandated Vehicle Safety Standards, Americans with Disabilities Act, and Society of Automotive Engineering Standards requirements.
